Suzette Margolis, CT, MBA
Suzette Margolis is the Founder of Peace Speaks and the liveBrilliance Program established to bring mindfulness programs to those wanting to reduce stress and enhance their life’s work and genuine spirit. She completed the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Intensive Training with Jon Kabat Zinn, PhD from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, the University of Pennsylvania Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine Mindfulness Foundation Program under Michael Baime, MD and Penn’s Teacher Practicum with Karen Bowles, MD.
Her career path has been guided by intrigue about brain functionality and human behavior. Suzette’s roles as a consultant, facilitator and educator have been coveted by many as she takes a holistic approach to change, understanding that sometimes transformation involves cognitive mindset shifts and relief of stressors not just adjustments to processes and behavior. In education, she has served the Philadelphia School District and community groups, Radnor School District, The Woods School, Montgomery County Training and Employment, various Montessori schools and Rosemont College as an Adjunct Professor. On the corporate side, she’s worked with Hewlett Packard, Kodak, Xerox and various wellness initiatives. Suzette believes that the pragmatic approaches to mindfulness at UMass, University of Pennsylvania, Jefferson, UCLA, University of Wisconsin and other innovative schools are just the beginning of our transcendence to richer mental acuity and peace as humans. She’s proud to play a tiny part in it. Her belief that peace happens one human at a time is contagious among groups, classes, schools and organizations as they embrace “let peace begin with me”.
She has presented educational sessions to groups of 1-2,000 in-house and through business associations, schools districts and municipalities. She served as Chairperson of the liveBrilliance Conference at Villanova University and directed the documentary, Mindfulness through the generosity of Radnor Township Studio 21. smargolis@liveBrilliance.org
